I value integrating mind, body, and spirit for whole-being embodied healing so we can show up as our authentic selves, increase our vitality, and foster supportive interpersonal connections. I believe when we heal ourselves, we heal the world.
I specialize in trauma informed life transitions and healing in relationship. I work. with folx 18 and older who are motivated to take a deep dive into their inner world, to explore the context and environment which shaped their experience, and who are willing to spend time between sessions to practice aligning with their goals.
This journey leads to symptom reduction by fostering Self-compassion, innate wisdom, balance, and Self-leadership. It is also a path to making values-aligned choices and living an intentional life.
Trauma informed care takes a holistic look at a person's life experiences. There are various forms and frequencies of trauma. Instead of labeling a person who has a challenging behavior, we look at what happened to that person and support their process of healing the trauma in their system. Then they can learn a new way to move through the world. Even in my role as a clinical psychotherapist, I generally avoid pathologizing and diagnosing if at all possible.
I take time to examine my intersectionality. I identify my areas of privilege and my biases. I strive to be mindful of folx experiences in the fullness of their past, present, and future. This is ongoing work. The universe is amazing and beautiful in all its expressions. I aim to show up with authenticity. I am also aware cultural and systemic structures create inequity and know this creates a disproportionate impact on BIPOC and LGBTQ+ folx.
I am a nonjudgmental, client-centered practitioner orienting to somatic, depth, and multicultural-feminist therapeutic approaches.
